Free peer support sessions for small charity leaders

25/08/2026

As charities respond to growing demand and a shifting policy landscape, these challenges can feel even harder when faced alone.

This autumn, IVAR (Institute for Voluntary Action Research) is inviting leaders of small, UK-based charities with an income of £500,000 or less to join their free Leading in Uncertainty sessions.

What are the open conversation sessions?

When you’re carrying big decisions, uncertainty and responsibility, finding space to pause and talk honestly can be difficult.

IVAR’s open conversation drop-in sessions are 90-minute facilitated sessions for small charity leaders to reflect and talk openly about what leadership feels like right now with peers who understand the challenges.

Upcoming free sessions:

  • Tuesday 3 November, 10am-11.30am
  • Tuesday 8 December, 10am-11.30am

If the session could be useful to you, find out more about Leading in Uncertainty and book a session here.
