Free Cyber Security Training for Charities and Small Businesses

12/08/2026

Recent press coverage of a data breach involving a Customer Relationship Platform (CRM), which primarily provides services to over 1,500 charities, serves as a timely reminder to ensure staff are aware of the daily scams and threats affecting all businesses, including those outside the charity sector.

As a result of incidents like this, staff and clients need reassurance about the right things to do to protect themselves.

The Cyber Resilience Centre for the East is encouraging charities and small businesses to take advantage of its fully funded Security Awareness Training for staff.

The training is delivered online and is specially designed for those with little or no technical knowledge, helping them understand and identify threats and scams. It also provides trusted guidance about simple steps everyone can take to make themselves, their organisation and those they work with more cyber resilient.

The Cyber Resilience Centre for the East is committed to making the East a safer place to work and live. As part of this, the Centre wants to encourage and support a culture of proactive cyber security within the charity sector.
